This 36" square sheer cotton mull handkerchief has been reproduced by Burnley & Trowbridge from an original in the Susan Greene Collection dating from 1790-1820. Three shades of purple are used to render the medallion design of this handkerchief. Center medallion is surrounded by a ground of purple sprigs, with quarter-medallions in the corners of each border. Hand-painted on a sheer, hand-loomed cotton mull. Edges all delicately hand-finished. You will be sure to stun in this purple beauty. Perfect for late 18th or early 19th century interpretation, or everyday wear!
